The Hook quarry was obtained in 1975 when Lionel Hannah a local quarry man who bought the Quarry site to team up with his Philpot quarry which was producing architectural masonry elements less than ½ mile away as the crow flies.
For many years the Wealden Sussex sandstone had been used to create some Stunning properties throughout the East Sussex and Kent regions but also played a major part in restoring many Stately homes, churches and monuments of historical importance.
The Stone has a natural beauty and holds a natural warm honey colour with a distinctive strip is some of the beds.
The material can be used as walling stone, architectural masonry elements such as cillstones, copings to tracery windows for any new build and restoration project.
The material is supplied Sawn six sides, Shaped through our Production Outlet and installed by our onsite masonry team if required.
