Traditional Stone are based in West Sussex and operate across London and the southern counties as a principal contractor, or specialist subcontractor. The Company is driven by a real passion for stonework which extends from our experienced banker masons through to our skilled management teams. We are specialists in all forms of traditional stonework and restoration and combine this with the use of modern technology to increase our efficiency. Above all, we place great emphasis on our relationships with our clients and continually strive to surpass expectations.
Danny has over 26 years’ worth of experience in the stone industry. After starting his career as an apprentice Danny went on to learn all areas of the trade from stone training as a banker mason, through to site restorer, new build fixing, estimating and contracts management of complex stone new build and restoration contracts. Today, Danny is primarily involved with the day to day running of the business and the pre-contracts works.
Dale is a co-founder of Traditional Stone and has been an integral part of the business for over 30 years. Alongside project estimating and business development, Dale is also Head of Production which involves managing our award-winning masonry works; ensuring procurement of the correct materials and enforcing the high quality expected by our clients.
SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER
John has a solid knowledge of all aspects of Masonry having completed his apprenticeship back in 1980 and then worked his way up through the ranks to site fixer. From there John moved on to running his own business where he worked on the likes of Windsor Castle and Historic Royal Palaces. John now carries out the principle contracting works on projects up to a value of £1M as well as the estimating and contract management on projects from stonework to multi trades.
Martin began his career as an apprentice stonemason, following this he became a draughtsman with a steady reputation in detailing newbuild and restoration stone projects, having worked on projects such as Chichester Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and Arundel castle. Martin is in control of the day to day running of the production facility ranging from estimating, sawing and banker masonry, ensuring the high quality is keep throughout the process.
DRAWING OFFICE MANAGER
Neale has a NVQ level 3 in Banker Masonry and completed his apprenticeship back in 2005. With a passion for drawing Neale progressed naturally into the drawing office and has worked on many iconic buildings such as Buckingham Palace and Hampton Court Palace. Neale manages projects from initial designs through to full manufacturing drawings and has full working knowledge of CAD and 3D drawing packages and is particularly skilled with his hand drawings for stone carvings.
Phil started his career as a stone cleaner and is an expert on all cleaning machinery and chemical usages with natural stone and prides himself on being one of the first to obtain an NVQ in his trade. Having joined Traditional Stone in 2016, Phil deals directly with the client’s team and reports on the progress of projects, maintaining quality on site and seeing a project through to completion.
Kevin has a wealth of experience, having worked for numerous specialist masonry companies and main contractors over the years. Utilising his honorary degree in Quantity Surveying he has become very adaptable and is an integral part of the team.
He provides clients with a first-class service and has extensive knowledge of heritage conservation/restoration and new build masonry projects.
Kevin works closely with Danny in securing prestigious projects throughout the south of England.
SPECIAL WORKS MANAGER
Bradley manages and carries out the estimating for the small works here at Traditional Stone ensuring optimum time and budget management. He started his career as a bankermason undertaking an apprenticeship at Weymouth college, for years Bradley was the workshop foremen at a local masonry company working on impressive buildings such as Buckingham Palace, Witley Park and numerous historical Churches throughout the south East.
